“Every Child a Swimmer”
South Africa has on average 300 drownings per year. 94% of these drownings occur amongst the black community. 64% of the drownings occur in rural areas, predominantly in rivers and dams. Basic water safety education has been inaccessible to the majority of South Africans. KZNA wants to ensure that every child in KwaZulu-Natal acquires the vital life skill of swimming.
