The KZN Department of Sport and Recreation is making available a limited number of Sport Scholarships to talented athletes for the 2021 academic year. The sport scholarship programme encourages inclusivity through the involvement of able-bodied as well as athletes with a disability and with special needs. Purpose of the Scholarship: \u2022 Retention and development of sporting talent in the Province. \u2022 Provide opportunities for talented athletes from rural and previously disadvantaged areas to excel in sport. \u2022 Support talented athletes from the Province to obtain podium positions at national and international competitions. \u2022 Development of youth through programmes of education, skills and health. \u2022 Provide access to accredited skills development programmes that will improve opportunities for future employment and contribute to the alleviation of poverty – link to more information and link to Application form<\/p>\n\n\n\n
